Krantik’s new and first solo album ‘Xekh Abeli’r Gaan’ roughly translating to ‘Songs of the dusk’

His music has been shaped over the years by varied artists whose many influences have helped him develop a distinct personal style with lyrics and musical composition seamlessly woven. A singer by necessity and not necessarily by formal training, Krantik’s level of comfort as a lyricist and a composer helps forge his stylistic and personal expression.

A lifetime of musical influences ranging from the ‘90’s ‘All India Radio’ programs to the western Rock, blues and jazz styles with a pinch of Indian classical and folk genres have all helped him forge this personal style. Equally important perhaps has been the decision to switch the language of the lyrics from a more universal English to his native idiom that is still evolving for him.
