Aymo is an Indian rapper, singer, songwriter, composer, and philanthropist. He raps and writes in both English and Hindi (Indian language). His music draws inspiration from a range of genres, including Hip Hop, R&B, Pop, Soul, Electronic, and Bollywood.
Aymo was born and raised in Bombay. He did his schooling in India until the age of 18, after which he moved to Philadelphia (USA) for his undergraduate degree, while parallelly learning about music, and engaging with the young creative musicians there. This led to his first music recording. Aymo worked with various music producers and other rappers to find his own style and sound, eventually moving back to India in 2014, and diving into the fresh and young Indian hip hop scene.
Aymo released his first official break out single “Let me Live” in December 2018,
which garnered over a million views on YouTube, earning him critical acclaim and plaudits. During the beginning of the Corona virus pandemic, he released a charity drive song and video titled ‘Affirmations,’ to raise awareness and funds for the needy migrant workers and poor segments of society, which went viral on social media, and ended up raising more than 2,00,000 INR, which was then donated through his foundation. Shortly after, he did a collaboration with global fashion brand ‘Jack & Jones,’ on Father’s Day, spreading a positive message to the youth, to appreciate fathers everywhere.
He is now working on a new album, and plans to put out a lot of fresh new music. He is also soon to release his first Hindi rap song, which promises to be a game changer.
