Nihira Joshi Deshpande is an accomplished vocalist and singer in Indian music.
Nurturing her penchant for music from the young age of 9, Nihira has trained extensively under many illustrious music personalities and has numerous awards and achievements to her credit.
She started learning Classical from Smt. Vidya Jail who is a disciple of Begum Parveen Sultana. She has been trained thoroughly by Kalyanjibhai (Kalyanji-Anandji) for light classical music. She has also learnt written and spoken Urdu from Prof. M. H. Parkar, which helps her in improving her pronunciations of Hindi/Urdu words while singing. She had opportunities to perform live classical vocal in All India Bal-Sangeet Sammelan organised by Swar Sadhana Samittee and Swar-Lahiri separately. She has also learnt from Dr. Jyoti Kale from the Jaipur Gharana and currently pursuing her further education from Miss. Anuradha Kuber of the Bhendi Bazaar Gharana.
She has sung for many Hindi and Marathi movies and has been popular in many television shows, both as a participant and also by lending her voice to the title tracks of serials.
While constantly engaged in mastering her singing skills under an able guru she is open to considering offers for live concerts or recordings in classical / light music and doing film songs in Hindi and/or Marathi.
