Her family discovered her talent in music at the age of 5, when she suddenly took over a stage and started singing a Bollywood song in a restaurant at Mussourie, surprising many present there. She also studied Voice at the LA Music Academy, under the guidance of Michael Jackson's vocal coach – Dorian Holley, Modern Jazz drummer -Tony Inzalaco, seven-time Grammy Award nominee - Tierney Sutton and Family Guy - famed Ralph Humphrey. Holley guided her for two semesters.
Her music influences include legends like Queen, Ella Fitzgerald, Duke Ellington, The Doors, Michael Jackson, Alanis Morissette, Porcupine Tree, Portishead and Coldplay.
At 16, she started playing the guitar and writing her own songs, which she enjoys every bit of and hopes to continue doing. For her first album, the Delhi-based singer-songwriter worked with Saibal Basu who has produced, recorded and mixed 'Minor Epiphany'. The album is slated to release on 19 February with a small get-together at the famous 'Qla, The Kila' in the capital.
