Srimanta Mitra is a solo musician based in New Delhi, India. He started playing piano at the age of 13, and at the age of 15 bought his first cheap acoustic guitar. He is as musically intrigued by the piano as he is by the guitar, although admittedly he likes the latter more. While in school, he played lead guitar for his band Blue Orange, playing Guns and Roses and Pink Floyd covers, and they won many music competitions in the time that they were active. While receiving the Best Band (and the Best Bassist, Drummer and Guitarist) award at one of the music competitions, they were told by the judges—members of Swatantra Rock band, Eka—to take their music to the next level.
He likes making music, writing poetry, having opinions he does not go about posting on his facebook status, and being inconspicuous. That’s about it. Why not let the music speak?
